Philanthropic Giving
The founder of the W.R. and Floy A. Sauey Family Foundation shared his philosophy for philanthropic giving in the following words: “As a child I struggled to achieve an education and to find an important place in the world around me. In the process, I became aware of the benefits that are available to anyone willing to work hard and sacrifice leisure benefits. With unrelenting effort and perseverance I learned to take advantage of the economic system that rewarded those willing to work hard and achieve. This process made me deeply interested in the free market system based on work ethics that our forefathers created. Both Floy and I have the same aims and a similar thought process of what it takes to achieve. Because of our effort and determination, a group of companies was created to encourage future youth in understanding the free market system, in the use of an open marketplace to expand their own interests and endeavors, to have knowledge of what our forefathers meant by standing as an individual within a free market system, and to feel strengthened knowing that there are many others who support and defend the principles of a free market system. Showing them that using their individual talents and through hard work, the free market system can and will work for their benefit and for those around them. This will result in a better life for all.”
And a foundation motto:
“Supporting the free market system, education and communities of the Nordic Group of Companies, Inc.”
